The equipment needs to balance thrilling experiences with family-friendliness, offering both high-end roller coasters and pendulum rides suitable for those seeking extreme thrills, as well as family-friendly rides for all ages, catering to the needs of different customer groups and creating an immersive amusement experience for the whole family.
The equipment design needs to integrate Saudi local cultural elements with cutting-edge international amusement concepts. The equipment style of the six themed areas is highly consistent with the regional positioning, creating an amusement experience that combines regional characteristics with international standards.
The equipment must be adapted to the local climate of Saudi Arabia, possessing characteristics such as high temperature resistance, wind and sand resistance, sun protection and moisture protection. It should also adopt environmentally friendly and energy-saving technologies, in line with the concept of green development, such as reducing the use of disposable items and equipping it with an energy-saving cooling system.

The client for this project is QIC Investment Company of Saudi Arabia, which is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the QIC Entertainment City project. As a core component of Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030,” the QIC project aims to create the world’s largest cultural, sports, and entertainment city, helping the country diversify its non-oil revenues and create new jobs. The client’s core requirements for the Six Flags QIC theme park are as follows:

Falcons Flight: The world’s longest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster, with a track length of 4,250 meters, a maximum height of 195 meters, and a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It features an innovative windshield design and energy-saving cooling technology, making it suitable for the City of Thrills area.
Gyrospin: The world’s tallest pendulum, standing 53 meters high, spins 10 times per minute, providing an immersive experience for thrill-seekers, and is deployed in the Thrill Scream City area.
Sirocco Tower: The world’s tallest freestanding catapult tower, standing at 145 meters high, with a freefall speed of 97 kilometers per hour, and equipped with a dazzling lighting system, it has become one of the park’s iconic attractions.
Family-friendly attractions include customized carousels, mini pirate ships, and self-controlled airplanes, designed to fit the children’s area of Twilight Gardens. These attractions feature soft colors and safety features to ensure the safety of young children.

Project implementation effect

This project officially launched on December 31, 2025. As Six Flags Entertainment Group’s first flagship theme park overseas, it attracted global attention upon opening and became a core highlight of the Qidiya Entertainment City in Saudi Arabia, successfully achieving the client’s expected goals. The specific results are as follows:

Park Operation Results: Since its opening, the park has received an average of over 8,000 visitors per day, with peak visitor numbers reaching 40,000 during holidays. With its world-class rides and immersive experiences, it has quickly become a top entertainment destination in Saudi Arabia and even the Middle East, helping the Cidia project achieve its positioning as a “global entertainment destination”.
Equipment performance: All amusement equipment operates stably with a failure rate of less than 0.5%. The high-temperature and sandstorm-resistant design is fully adapted to the local climate in Saudi Arabia. The safety performance of the equipment has been highly recognized by customers and tourists, and no safety accidents have occurred.
