The new pirate ship “Giant Wave” incorporates hydraulic drive for smoother operation.
Hydraulics replaces electric motors, resulting in smooth, jerky movements.
Traditional pirate ships often use electric motors and gearboxes for propulsion, which can easily create a mechanical jerking sensation when swaying. The new "Giant Wave" uses hydraulic cylinders for direct push and pull, resulting in a smooth sine wave sway curve that provides a more realistic experience for passengers.
- Maximum swing angle 75 degrees, weightlessness sensation controllable and adjustable
The equipment can swing up to 75 degrees, with the rear seats offering a near-weightless experience. Operators can adjust the swing angle (from 30 to 75 degrees) with a single button on the control panel to suit the needs of children, youth, or mixed groups.
Core upgrade highlights
Each seat is equipped with a shoulder support bar, a lumbar support belt, a leg restraint bar, and a foot restraint, providing a total of four locking mechanisms. The system will not start if any of these locks are not engaged. Soft silicone pads are added to the inside of the support bars to prevent shoulder strain during long journeys.
More Details
- The hydraulic system operates at a noise level below 65 decibels, which is superior to the 75 decibels of an electric motor drive.
- The dual hydraulic cylinder redundancy design ensures safe lowering even in the event of a single-sided failure.
- Emergency braking distance reduced to less than 0.5 meters.
Maintenance intervals extended to 2000 hours: The hydraulic system features a self-circulating filter and automatic oil replenishment design, and key seals are made of wear-resistant polyurethane material. This extends the maintenance interval from 500 hours for traditional equipment to 2000 hours, reducing downtime for maintenance by 3-4 times per year.
Several water parks have already placed orders for the "Giant Wave" as a replacement for the Giant Swing. Because the "Giant Wave" occupies 40% less space than the Giant Swing while offering a similar level of thrill, several medium-sized parks lacking large spaces have placed orders as an alternative. The first batch of 10 units is expected to be delivered this fall.
